We’re diving back in to Personal Branding again today, and taking a look at how developing your personal brand can help you differentiate yourself from the crowd.
Your Own Personal Advertisement
Just like other company’s run commercials on tv or the via the radio, or even online, you are a walking, talking commercial for your company. So, in your every day life, you would ideally be using or showcasing your product in some way. Do you sell clothes? If so you’re probably rocking them on the daily! Are nails your thing? Your mani game is most likely on POINT! And I know you’re cooking up a storm in your kitchen if you are selling cookware.
Choosing items to use or showcase, and that would reflect your personal style or preferences – this is the easy part. It’s easy to buy the products. It’s easy to USE the products. This is the part that we already love about what we are selling!
Tying In Your Personal Branding
Your online presence, on the other hand, takes a bit more effort. This should continue to be personal to you, and therefore your ‘commercial’ reflects what you know and love! In building your personal brand, you show what makes you different than all the other places people can shop!
For me, I’m a coffee loving, wine drinking, sarcastic mom of three, who happens to love and sell Silver Icing. This is the foundation from which I built my own Personal Brand, and because I am just being myself, this happened quite naturally. Do I post with intention? Of course! However because I am posting about what I truly love and identify with, my online presence has simply become a natural extension of my every day life. Like growing another arm, but cooler because I have a community of amazing, like-minded women on the other side of it.
The Value In Becoming Valuable
When you build relationships within your group, you become valuable. Your customers become comfortable discussing their purchases with you, asking for tips, etc. These factors will lead to more successful shopping experiences for them. Especially after they have been around for a while and you have gotten to know their own personal interests.
Be relatable, be real, and be approachable! From there, it will be easy build these relationships with the girls in your group who are attracted to your Brand. You want to build your Personal Brand to reflect all the things that are awesome about you, and then tie it back to what you love about Silver Icing.
